Becky Kern of New Berlin and Peter Hackl of Shorewood are planning an April 28, 2012, wedding in Milwaukee.

Parents of the couple are Patti Wangerin of Waukesha, Jim Kern of New Berlin, and Dick and Susan Hackl of Fox Point.

The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Carroll College. She is a registered nurse with Harwood Elmbrook Medical Clinic in Brookfield.

The future groom earned his bachelor's degree in English from Marquette University. He is a paralegal with Diercks LLC.
